The Grammys aren't the only awards to keep an eye on this weekend.

Tonight in Los Angeles, the Directors Guild of America names its chosen one -- or is it chosen ones?

Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity), David O. Russell(American Hustle) and Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave) are all running neck-and-neck for the DGA prize, long seen as a harbinger of Oscar's director and the best picture races.

Gravity mastermind Alfonso CuarĂ³n won best director at the Golden Globes. Hustlewon the best picture equivalents at both the Globes and last week's Screen Actors Guild Awards, where cast member Bradley Cooper hailed Russell as a true actor's director.

This year's other DGA nominees are Paul Greengrass for Captain Phillips and winnerMartin Scorsese for The Wolf of Wall Street, who won in 2006 for The Departed.
