Best response to attempted public shaming:
On her HBO series Girls, Dunham gets naked. A lot. Clearly, this is a woman who doesn't traffic in body-image issues. And to give her credit, her February Vogue cover is cool and quirky and interesting. So when feminist website Jezebel offered $10,000 for her un-retouched photos (to expose what Voguedoes to a woman who is "fine just the way she is"), Dunham reacted with class. "Some (expletive) is just too ridiculous to engage. Let's use our energy wisely, 2014," she tweeted.
Best red-carpet date:

Sweetest public declaration of support:
Oddest case of parental TMI:
Singer Ke$ha checked into rehab for an eating disorder, and Sebert followed suit, checking herself in for post-traumatic stress disorder. While Zac Efron opted to finish rehab without ever discussing it, Ke$ha's mom took the opposite approach. "I've watched my beautiful … daughter be berated and ridiculed for her looks and weight to the point that she almost died," she told People. Um, OK.
Most in need of media training: The new Bachelor,
Galavis recently made headlines, but it wasn't rose-related. A gay Bachelor wouldn't be "a good example for kids to watch," he told The TV Page while promoting the show in Pasadena. He then took to Facebook to say he was truly sorry: "The comment was taken out of context. If you listen to the entire interview, there's nothing but respect for Gay people and their families. I have many gay friends and one of my closest friends who's like a brother has been a constant in my life." Well, then.
Cutest response to an Oscar nomination:
Actress Hawkins, who plays Cate Blanchett's grubby sister in Blue Jasmine, never saw it coming. She was stunned, jet-lagged and tearful, and when asked how she would celebrate, she was giddy. "I'm probably going to go out and drag some people to the bar with me!" she said with refreshing honesty. Cheers!
