ST. LOUIS – Snow or shine, florists across the area will be up before the sun Friday morning. Workers at Walter Knoll Florist expect to be there at least until midnight preparing.

Friday morning drivers will start loading the trucks at 4:30 a.m., and more than 100 people will be delivering for the company on Valentine's Day.

The florist says they're ready for whatever the weather may bring.

These are people who do this for a living. So we are going to go slow, we are gonna ramp up, it does slow everything down when it starts snowing. But we're thinking it's just a dusting, that's what we're hoping for," said Chuck Knoll.

Walter Knoll says it's not worried about the cold. In fact, it says the air outside will be about the same temperature as it is inside its coolers.

But delivery drivers are still told to never leave arrangements on the doorstep.
