ST. LOUIS - An important part of the St. Louis skyline is back in place. The cross and ball at the top of the steeple of the Old Cathedral are back up.

Cranes arrived around 8:30 a.m. to hoist them back in place. They were taken down in January as part of a major overhaul underway at the Old Cathedral.

The historic landmark in the shadow of the Arch is undergoing a significant restoration.

All of the work is scheduled to be completed by August.
