It's every fan's dream to get up close and personal with a favorite star.
Here's a crazy story about it almost happening as a teenager from Scotland named Lucy Clode got an invitation from James Franco, 35, to do just that.
According to Gawker, picking up a story from Daily Dot, Clode met Franco at an autograph signing for his current play, Of Mice and Men, on Tuesday. He told her in an Instagram video, "You gotta tag me." (The video has since been deleted.)
She did, and the two began flirting. And one thing led to another - quickly.
The messages switched to texts, and Franco then apparently asked , "You're single? .. Should I rent a room?"
"April fools was an hour ago though…" Clode responds.
Making him prove that he's really the one texting, the teen tells Franco to write her name on a piece of paper and take a selfie. He complies.
While Gawker points it that maybe it was all faked, the exchange was captured on Imgur.
She eventually turns him down. "I'll come back when I'm 18," she says.
As for Franco, he seemed to tweet a response to it all when he wrote: "I hope parents keep their teens away from me."
Or perhaps it's all to promote Franco's newest film, as EW.com points out. Palo Alto is in part about a soccer coach (played by Franco) who has an affair with a teenager (Emma Roberts).
(Franco's rep hasn't commented.)
