CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KSDK) – Many thought Marilyn Monroe was larger than life – and a statue that came to town Saturday certainly is certainly adding some truth to that notion.
The famous 3,600 pound, Seward Johnson creation made a pit stop in Chesterfield on Saturday.
Spectators had two hours to snap pictures and take in the 25-foot work of art.
The Forever Marilyn Statue will stop in 10 more cities – including Indianapolis and Philadelphia – before landing in Johnson's hometown of Hamilton, N.J.
Once it's there, it will be placed in a 42-acre, temporary retrospective of the Johnson & Johnson heir's work.
