ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – In a quest to win $50,000 and a new food truck, four national vendors competed to see who could sell Mama Toscano's famous toasted ravioli the fastest Saturday morning.

It was part of the Food Network's "Great Food Truck Race."

The owners of Mama Toscano's say they're the ones who originated the St. Louis staple of toasted ravioli. Regardless of whether or not it's true, the Food Network paid attention, and found the restaurant thanks to an internet search.

"We came here for lunch, tasted the food. It was amazing and we decided to incorporate it into our food this weekend," Francesco Pace said.

The show debuts in August, and you can catch the episode featuring Mama Toscano's in September.
