KSDK – She was given just a 10 percent chance to even be born alive.

And this Edwardsville toddler continues to beat the odds. Three-year-old Sophia Moelk was born with a chromosomal disorder called trisomy 18 – also known as Edwards syndrome.

On Sunday, she took off on an adventure to Disney World thanks to Allegiant Air and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Getting to the airport was half the fun – a limo dropped Sophia and her family off at Mid-America Airport, where they were given the red carpet treatment.

Lots of balloons and gifts were waiting for Sophia before she boarded her flight to Orlando.

"I means everything," Teresa Moelk said. "It's just a once in a lifetime thing, to be able to take our whole family and especially Sophia to get to see something so magical."

Teresa Moelk says she can't wait to show Sophia all the sights at Disney World.
