Jay Leno may be retired from his gig hosting the Tonight Show, but he's about to get a huge honor: The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is presenting him with the 17th annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. And here's what he has to say about it:

"What an honor! I'm a big fan of Mark Twain's. In fact, A Tale of Two Cities is one of my favorite books!"

He'll receive the Prize, which is named to honor one of the world's greatest humorists, at a gala performance on Oct. 19 at the Kennedy Center, where loads of stars will show up to toast — and roast — the comedian. Who knows, Jimmy Fallon might even be there!
