ST. LOUIS – Wilson, a puppy found earlier this month with a bungee cord wrapped around his neck, has found his forever family.
The Humane Society of Missouri announced on their Facebook page Thursday that Wilson's new owner had followed his story from the beginning and is "excited to give this special pup a second chance in life."
Wilson was found May 15 at a home near Switzer and Riverview with the cord wrapped around his neck, which caused him to have problems swallowing and breathing. His head was so swollen it was close to the size of a soccer ball. He was also underweight.
Within a week Wilson started to eat, drink, and recover from his injury.
Anyone with information about who wrapped the cord around Wilson's neck should call the Humane Society of Missouri's Animal Cruelty Task Force at 314-647-4400.
