Denver, CO (KUSA) - Many dream of becoming an NFL cheerleader, and on Sunday, more than 200 ladies - and one man - got the opportunity to make those dreams one step closer to reality.
Sunday was the first round of the 2012 Denver Bronco Cheerleader and Denver Outlaw Cheerleader tryouts. Just like every year, it was a grueling few hours of learning routines, practicing and auditioning in front of a panel of judges.
There were several veteran Denver Broncos Cheerleaders returning this year that have to tryout just like everyone else, and of course there were many newcomers.
One young man from Denver, Sacha Heppell, made it his mission to get on the team.
Watch the video above to see how he did.
The finals are next Sunday are the finals and they are open to the public. 9NEWS' Corey Rose will be one of the judges who helps choose the new Denver Broncos Cheerleaders.
