St. Louis (KSDK) - A toddler who died at a St. Louis hospital over the weekend had been beaten against a wall.

Jarrod Rudder is charged with first-degree murder of 2-year-old Michael Pulliam.

Police say Rudder grabbed the boy's wrist, swung him by the arm, and beat him against a lamp and a wall.

The child's brain was bleeding and he had several broken bones.

Rudder is from Elkville, Illinois, about 90 miles southeast of St. Louis.
