St. Louis, MO (KSDK) -- The suspect accused oftheviolent home invasion in South St. Louis County has pleaded guilty to all charges.

26-year-old Rashad El pleaded guilty to 13 criminalcharges: two counts of first degree assault, two counts of first degree robbery, two counts of burglary, felonious restraint, felony stealing, and and five counts of armed criminal action.

Police described the May 2010 attack at the home in the 5400 block of Medalton as heinous and violent.

Investigators say El worked for a time at the landscaping business operated by one of the victims in the attack. Police say El repeatedly beat the victim and the victims girlfriend with an undisclosed weapon before taking their wallets, cell phones, a laptop computer and stealing the woman's car.

Police said both victims were beaten unconscious and left for dead. The female victim was able to get up and get help at a neighbor's house.

Authorities arrested El in north St Louis a few days later and located the missing vehicle in East St Louis, Illinois.
