St. Louis (KSDK) - There has been a lot of coverage about the rate of concussions among men and boys who play sports.

But you may not know that girls are reporting concussions in record numbers. Twice as many as boys in the sports they both play, like soccer.

Kate Snow has the story on Wednesday night's Rock Center.

We wanted to know if the same thing is happening with girls in our area, so we reached out to St. Louis Children's Hospital.

Doctor Doug Carlson is an emergency room physician, and he joined us on NewsChannel 5 at 5.
