Florissant, MO (KSDK) - The Florissant Police Department and Mayor Tom Schneider are receiving complaints about alleged aggressive door-to-door sales tactics of a home security company.

According to police, residents saidmembers of Pinnacle Security have come to their doors pitching upgrades to currently installed alarm systems or even purchasing a whole new system.

Several residents have even reported that the sales people appeared to know how much their home is worth. When residents, specifically older ones, would say they're not interested in purchasing anything, they reported the sales people would get argumentative and say things to make them feel threatened or unsafe.

Mayor Schneider and Police Chief William Karabas are encouraging residents who encounter problems with these sales people to contact the police department.

Several attorneys general offices, including Missouri, have taken legal action against Pinnacle Security in the past for their sales and business practices.

The Better Business Bureau has given an 'F'accreditation gradeto Pinnacle Security due to the number of customer complaints and government actions.

NewsChannel 5 reached out to Pinnacle Security for a comment, but has yet to hear from them.
