Columbia, IL (KSDK) -No one is in custody after the Major Case Squad took over a death investigation in Columbia, Illinois.

Columbia Police Chief Joe Edwards said they were called to do a welfare check and found45-year-old Craig Wooddead inside a home in the 900 block of Bluffside Road around 5:25 p.m. Sunday.

Police said there was evidence that indicated foul play, so the Major Case Squad was activated.

An autopsywas scheduled for Monday morning to determine the cause of death.
