St. Louis (KSDK) -- Retired Air Force Major Brian Kissinger is planning a flight for the record books that will benefit homeless veterans and the Joseph Center.

On the Fourth of July a team will attempt to set a world record for speed over a recognized course from St. Joseph to St. Louis.

Ret. Major Kissinger is a two-time brain cancer survivor and this will be his third aviation world record attempt.
