St. Louis County (KSDK) -- St. Louis County Prosecutors have charged former Charlack mayor James Beekman with four felonies.

Our sources close to the investigation say former Mayor Jim Beekman spent city money on personal items, including jewelry and landscaping supplies.

Beekman resigned as mayor in October of 2011.

He is now charged with one count of stealing over $25,000, two counts of stealing over $500 and one count of public servant acceding to corruption. All are felony charges.
