Florissant, Mo (KSDK) -- An arrest has been made in the Salvation Army worker robbery.

Florissant police said Edward Mitchell was charged with second-degree robbery.

Someone stole a Salvation Army worker's bank bag in the parking lot of the store in the Paddock Hills Plaza shopping center Tuesday night.

Investigators say the woman had locked the business for the night and was in her vehicle with the day's receipts when she saw a person in the lot she thought she recognized.

The clerk drove to the man and engaged him in conversation before realizing she didn't know him. The suspect then grabbed the bank bag from the woman's car and ran from the lot.

Mitchell's bond was set at $35,000.
