Prestonville, IN (WLKY/CNN) - A convicted killer who police say faked his own death has been caught following a multi-state manhunt.

The arrest happened late Tuesday night in Indiana, just miles from the bridge where police say he left a fake suicide note and clothes on the railing last month.

Police say 40-year-old Wade Meisberger was trying to avoid having to go back to prison on probation violations.

"Mr. Meisberger is a convicted murderer who was on the run who has now been caught. That's good news for everybody," said Chief Michael Willhoite with the Carrollton, Kentucky Police Department.

Police said a series of YouTube videos posted by Meisberger led them to him.

They say they found him in a stolen car at a mobile home park.
