St. Louis, MO(KSDK) - Three people were murderedin eight shootings in just over 30 hours over the weekend.

The latest shooting was a homicide in South City. Around 9:10 p.m. Sunday, two people were shot outside a home at the intersection of Keokuk and Virginia. One person died in that shooting.

Earlier Sunday, 34-year-old Richard Jones was was gunned down in the 4500 block of Davison Avenue in the Walnut Park East neighborhood. Officers found Jones had been shot in the head and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Two other shootings occurred early Sunday morning.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg around 2 a.m. at the intersection of S. 11th Street and Lebanon Drive. The suspect was wearing a black mask and escaped in what was described as a black Lincoln.

At around 3:40 a.m., one woman was shot in the back while riding in a car traveling westbound on Interstate 70 near Washington Avenue. The victim is listed in stable condition. No one else was injured.

On Saturday, a person was shot while pumping gas at the BP gas station on N. Grand around 6 p.m.

Later that night, a 19-year-old man was in the 3100block of Nebraska Avenue when he was approached by a woman offering to sell him drugs. He and a friend followed the woman and were robbed by a man waiting for them. When the victim tried to get his money back, he was shot in the shoulder. Police said the victim is in stable condition.

Also Saturday, four women were shot at while in a car at the intersection of Russell and Gravois Avenue, in the Soulard neighborhood. The suspect got out of a green Lincoln Navigator and opened fire. No one was injured in the shooting. Police did not say when the shooting occurred.

Perhaps the weekend's most notablehomicide occurred in the Central West End. Megan Boken, 23, was shot and killed in her car that was parked near Maryland and North Taylor around 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Boken, a former volleyball player at Saint Louis University, was in town for an alumni game.

Police described Boken's killer as an African-American man with a medium complexion, standing between 5'8" and 5'10" with a thin build and short hair. He was wearing a greycharcoal shirt, khaki pants and white tennis shoes.
