Bunker Hill, Ill (KSDK) -- An SUV struck a10-year-old boy who was riding his bike to school in Bunker Hill, Illinois Wednesday morning.

The Wolf Ridge Elementary School student was knocked 30 feet into the air when he was two-and-a-half blocks from the school.

The boy was taken to Alton Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to Cardinal Glennon.

The 38-year-old driver of the SUV was issued citations for failure to reduce speed and failure to yield to a pedestrian.

The child is listed in good condition.
