East St. Louis, IL (KSDK) - The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced eastbound Interstate 64 will be reduced to one lane between the I-55/70/64 split and 18th Street in East St. Louis Thursday.
The lane closures will begin at 8 p.m. September 6, 2012 until 6 a.m. Friday morning, weather permitting.
The lane restrictions will allow for workers to remove a sign truss over eastbound I-64.
Drivers should expect 15 minute closures while the truss is lifted over the traffic lanes, and traffic will be cleared after each closure.
Alternate routes should be considered during this time.
