St. Louis (KSDK) - The 2012 Annual Catholic Appeal has set a record.

Archbishop Robert J. Carlson says almost 59,000 Catholic households contributed nearly $14.4 million, surpassing their goal of $12.25 million.

The money collected will be used for Catholic education, support for parishes, the seminary, and vocations. Some funding will also be used for the campaign for religious liberty and charitable and mission work.
