Mother Monster arrived at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum on New York's Upper East Side Thursday night perched on a convertible. She was launching her Fame perfume and, as with all things Gaga, it was a performance.
Inside the museum, reports AP, Gaga laid inside a class bottle. She applied make-up and played on an iPad while inside the bottle.
Partygoers, including Paris Hilton and Marc Jacobs, were able to stick their fingers through a hole in the installation and touch her as she "slept," reports New York's Daily News. Gaga emerged from the egg at 9:45 p.m. when assistants stripped her down to lingerie and thigh highs. (The News says the tat looks "suspiciously like Honey Boo Boo." Do you see a resemblance?)
She then crawled back inside and began receiving a tattoo of the back of her neck (she shaved the bottom half of the back of her head this week). Gaga has posted many pictures on LittleMonsters.com from the event.
The music she played with getting inked wasn't her own. Instead, she listened to Edith Piaf, David Bowie's Fame and Kanye West's Mercy, among other tunes. Enjoying the scene were a few hundred people, including celebs Yoko Ono, Michael Strahan, Jason Wu and Lindsay Lohan.
Gaga also unveiled a film/ad directed by Steven Klein for the fragrance.
