Santa Clarita, CA (KNBC) -- A 19-year-old man is hospitalized after falling from a water park ride in southern California.
The accident happened on the Black Snake Summit Ride at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Santa Clarita.
Authorities said the m an cut in line and raced past lifeguards before jumping on the slide head first.
Witnesses said he fell to the ground about half-way down the venom drop slide, part of the multiple-slide Black Snake Summit attraction.
A park spokeswoman said the man was not cleared to go down the slide and had not received instructions to position himself feet first.
There is no word on the condition of the injured man.
