O'FALLON, IL (KSDK) -A stretch of Interstate 64 in Illinoiswas re-namedMonday in memory of Kelli and Jessica Uhl.

A dedication ceremony was held Monday morning for the dedication of the new memorial. Signs were posted near Route 158 and Route 4 along the highway.

That stretch of I-64 in St. Clair Countyis nowknown as the 'Jessica and Kelli Uhl Memorial Highway.'

The teenage sisters were killed the day after Thanksgiving in 2007 whenformer Illinois State TrooperMatt Mitchell crashed into their car.

Authorities sayMitchell was driving more than 120 miles per hour and using his cell phone when he slammed into the Uhl sisters' car.
