St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Anheuser-Busch is packaging tens of thousands of cases of emergency drinking water to ship to those in the northeast affected by Superstorm Sandy.
More than 4,000 cases of canned water are already en route to Anheuser-Busch distributers in Pleasantville and Robbinsville, New Jersey, and will be immediately available to American Red Cross and other disaster relief organizations. An additional 10,000 cases have been requested for Brooklyn, New York and will be delivered over the weekend.
All told, some 44,000 cases of canned drinking water-approximately 1,056,000 cans-are being packed and or shipped to the victims of Superstorm Sandy.
In addition to the drinking water, the Anheuser-Busch Foundation will donate $100,000 to the American Red Cross to provide support for disaster relief workers and victims.
