St. Louis (KSDK) -- A group of youth hockey players will have a chance to play at the Scottrade Center while the NHL is on strike.

The St. Louis Blues will put down ice at the Scottrade Center so it can be the temporary home for the Fairview Heights Youth Hockey Club starting November 14.

Fairview Heights has been without its home rink, the U.S. Ice Complex, since Oct. 9 when it was closed after incurring damage due to mine subsidence. The complex may remain closed for several weeks while the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and structural engineers make further assessments of the situation.
