St. Louis (KSDK) - There will be layoffs at two companies with local ties.

Around 200 people are set to lose their jobs as U.S. Cellular shrinks its presence in the Midwest. The company is selling its share in the St. Louis market to Sprint.

That means all U.S. Cellular stores in the area will eventually close.

The company says it's making the move to focus on markets where it has more customers.
