St. Louis (KSDK) - A 65-year-old woman was shaken up Thursday afternoon when a young man who tried to rob her fired a shot in her direction before he took off.

Police say it happened in the 3800 block of Connecticut, near Gustine. It's the Tower Grove Heights neighborhood.

Here is part of a description of the suspects provided by police:
-Suspect #1: Between 18 and 22-years-old, standing 5'8" to 5'10"with a medium build and medium complexion, last seen wearing all dark clothing.

-Suspect #2: Between 18 and 22-years-old, medium build, and last seen wearing all dark clothing.

Police say the woman was walking from her car to her home when she was approached from behind by the two suspects. One of them, who was armed with a semi-automatic pistol, said, "Give me your money, give me your purse," while pointing the weapon at her.

The victim began yelling for help and the suspects fled. Police say as they continued to run down the street, the armed suspect turned and fired one shot.

No one was injured and the thieves got away with nothing.
