St. Louis (KSDK) - Despite the day's developments union bakers remained on the picket line Friday.
Hostess Merita Brand officials filed a motion to liquidate the entire company in bankruptcy court. They say the cause is striking union bakers who did not return to work by a Thursday deadline.
Those union bakers in St. Louis said they''ll remain on the picket line until they receive official word from company officials.
Workers across the country have been on strike since last week against an 8 percent, across the board pay cut next year.
They say the problem is corporate mismanagement, and they are finished making concessions.
