St. Louis, Mo. (KSDK) -- A fundraiser was held Saturday night for Patricia Dempsey. The 28-year-old mother of three died in July after an ATV she was riding on was hit by an Amtrak train.
People gathered at Andre's in south St. Louis County for the fundraiser. They were hoping to raise money for the kids left behind.
Dozens of items were donated for a raffle and auction.
Nina Schellhase, Dempsey's cousin, said planning the fundraiser was therapeutic.
"If it weren't this benefit, I don't know how I would have gotten through the last five or six months," Schellhase said.
If you'd like to donate, stop by any local US Bank and donate to the Patricia Dempsey fund.
