La Quinta, CA (Sports Network) - Steven Bowditch fired an 8-under 64 on Sunday to grab a 1-shot lead after five rounds of the PGA Tour Qualifying School.
Bowditch, a 2-time winner on the Web.com Tour, finished 90 holes at 23-under- par 337.
Kris Blanks carded a 6-under 66 to move into second place at minus-22. Edward Loar (68), Steve LeBrun (67) and Derek Ernst (66) shared third place at 21- under 339.
Fourth-round leader Dong-Hwan Lee managed a 1-under 71, but fell into a share of sixth at minus-20. He was joined there by Jin Park (68) and Eric Meierdierks (67). Billy Horschel (69) and Richard H. Lee (70) are tied for ninth at 19-under-par 341.
Meen Whee Kim. who led after the second and third rounds, struggled to a 3- over 75. He slid into a tie for 30th.
The top 25 and ties at the end of the tournament will receive PGA Tour cards for 2013, while the next 50, plus ties, will earn Web.com Tour cards. Players are competing for three rounds each on the Stadium Course and the Nicklaus Tournament Course at PGA West.
