EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) - A Troy, Illinois man was found guilty Friday of one count of criminal sexual assault and one count of unauthorized video recording.
Byron D. Skalisius, 51, was found guilty of the 2009 assault of a female acquaintance he had worked with, but did not have a romantic relationship with.
Court documents state Skalisius assaulted the woman after putting GHB, also known as the "date rape drug" in her drink.
The victim had no memory of the assault, which happened at her Glen Carbon home.
Pictures of the woman unconscious were found in Skalisus' possession.
The Madison County jury deliberated for four hours before finding Skalisus guilty.
He still faces another count of criminal sexual assault from a June 2008 incident involving a different female acquaintance.
