Former president George H.W. Bush remains in a Houston hospital, but aides say there is no cause for alarm.
Hospital and family spokespersons say the 41st president is in stable condition and continues to improve after treatment for a bronchitis-related cough.
Bush has been in Methodist Hospital since Nov. 23; there is no release date.
Greta Van Susteren of Fox News reported these comments from a "key person" close to Bush:
"President Bush gets better every single day. Don't be alarmed by the fact he hasn't come home yet. The doctors want him to be 100 percent before he goes home this time.
"He has set up command central at Methodist Hospital. The movie studios have sent him boxes full of movies and I have taken him all my Christmas movies. Local restaurants are sending over food. The kids are all coming to visit. He enjoys news and gossip."
The former president received some good news on the family front Wednesday.
Granddaughter Jenna Bush Hager -- daughter of former president George W. Bush -- announced she is expecting her first child.
