ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - The principal of Hazelwood West Middle School sent a letter home to parents after a bullet was found in the sixth grade hallway on Monday.

Principal Tony O. Brooks says there was nothing else was found and an investigation has opened with the school resource officer to investigate anyone who may be linked to bringing the bullet to school.

All lockers in the vicinity of where the bullet was found have been searched, and a more detailed search will be conducted throughout the entire school.

Video footage has been searched to try and find the person that may have brought it to school.

Brooks says this is an isolated incident and there is not a threat to the student body or faculty.
