ST. CHARLES Mo. (KSDK) - A Maryland Heights man has been charged with two felony counts of making a terroristic threat.

St. Charles police say they received a call from the pastor at Matthias' Lot Church on Sunday about three voice mails received from 26-year-old Derek M. Ficik.

All three messages contained graphic and sexually explicit language and made explicit threats of violence.

Police say Ficik claimed he would "Make the pastor pray to God as he shot him in the head." Ficik allegedly said in another message that he would "Burn Christianity and all its followers and fill the seas with Christian blood."

The phone number of the caller was captured and led police to the identification of Ficik.

Ficik was taken into custody Tuesday by Maryland Heights police and was transferred the same day to St. Charles police.

Police also say Ficik claimed to practice Witchcraft and Astral Projection and that demons tell him what to do.

Ficikis held on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
