It's the end of the GTL era.
After three years and six seasons, MTV will air the final episode of Jersey Shore tonight at 10 p.m., followed by a live reunion special at 11 p.m. ET.
"Even when we filmed the last day in Seaside, me and Jenni were bawling our eyes out, just because, like, we were looking at the house and everything that's happened, you know, what the show gave us, and we're saying goodbye to it," Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi tells MTV News. "So it's definitely bittersweet and very sad."
But Snooki says it's not like she'll never go to the Jersey Shore again.
"I went to the Jersey Shore way before the show," she tells MTV. "I was growing up there - 16 years old going there, meeting best friends - so regardless of the show, I'm gonna go there every single summer because that's what I do in the summer. You go down there, you have fun, you go on jet skis - that's kind of the thing to do on the east coast."
And Jenni "JWoww" Farley tells MTV she plans to contribute to "Restore the Shore" following the devastation of Superstorm Sandy. "I think this summer we should definitely go back to the Shore and rebuild it."
As they get together to watch tonight's final episode, JWoww says she's worried her mascara will run. "[We'll] probably all cry for good and bad reasons," JWoww told Access Hollywood this week.
Snooki said she is thankful for the opportunities the show has given her, especially financially. "Lorenzo's gonna have a good life," she told Access, referring to the paycheck that will help take care of her baby boy, who was born earlier this year.
But here's something to look forward to: Season 2 of Snooki and JWoww kicks off Jan. 8. And maybe we'll all fall in love with a new gang of characters when Buckwildpremieres Jan. 3 with a group of nine rebellious twenty-somethings living in West Virginia.
