St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - A disabled minivan was struck by another vehicle on eastbound Interstate 64 approaching the downtown area early Monday, forcing the closure of the highway for close to an hour.
The stalled vehicle was sitting in the far left lane of I-64 west of Market and east of Jefferson when another eastbound car crashed into the back end of the van around 3:10 a.m.
The impact of the crash pushed the minivan sideways, blocking nearly all three lanes with debris, and the subsequent arrival of emergency vehicles.
Investigators got the eastbound lanes of the highway reopended around 4:15 this morning.
No injuries were reported in the crash, and no names have been disclosed.
