O'Fallon, Ill. (KSDK) -- You may have heard about Ann Curry's recent tweet encouraging others to do one act of kindness in memory of each person murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut. Well, Rebecca Brogan was listening.

She's a 36-year-old mother in O'Fallon, who is a writer for a marketing firm, but she also has a few personal blogs, and recently started up a new one, to follow her own26 acts of kindness.

Each day Brogan honors one of the shooting victims and does somethingin remembranceofthe spirit and character of that person. For example, for a woman who was an animal lover, Brogan took her son to feed stray cats.

Then, she vlogs about her experience with her iPhone.

"One of the acts I did I wrote a letter to a woman I figured out went to prison and I encouraged her to write me back so they'll be ongoing communication so a lot of these acts can continue going," Brogan explained. "My son wants to go feed the cats again so not only are the acts simple to do and they don't cost a lot of money, but you get a lot of bonding time and they just keep going."

By the way, Brogan has encouraged others to do 26 acts of kindness and post their stories on her blog as well.
