Little known fact: The original lyrics of The 12 Days of Christmas read: "On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a shirt extolling the social ineptitude of thee."
Okay, that tidbit came from a Wikipedia entry I may or may not have just edited, but you'd forgive my mistake after seeing what Caroline Wozniacki and Rory McIlroy exchanged for Christmas this year.
The young sporting lovebirds modeled their matching t-shirts for a picture Wozniacki posted on Twitter.
McIlroy is the No. 1 golfer in the world and is rumored to have a $200 million deal with Nike. Wozniacki is only 11 months removed from the No. 1 ranking of her own. I know meanings of words change all the time, but that doesn't sound geeky or nerdy to me.
Wozniacki didn't elaborate on who was the gifter and who was the giftee. You'd imagine that one of them had both shirts made and gave one to the other, then kept one for their own.
Then again, if they independently bought the shirts and exchanged the, that'd just about be the geekiest thing ever.
