St. Louis ( KSDK ) -- For 27 years now, Kevin Day has prompted looks of disbelief and amazement as he performs his annual ritual on the St. Louis riverfront. He's also raised tens of thousands of dollars for charity in the process.

Day, a Creve Coeur resident and U.S. Water Ski Champion, took to the Mississippi River at high noon Tuesday for his icy water skiing demonstration.

The temperature was relatively warm compared to many past years: mid 20's.

Money raised by Day goes to the Missouri Disabled Water Ski Association. To learn more, visit www.MSDWA.org.
