Berkeley (KSDK) -- A fleeing driver was brought to a halt just east of Lambert Airport Wednesday afternoon, after eluding pursuing police officers throughout a wide swath of north St. Louis County.

Overland police say officers spotted a tan Mazda Protege wanted in connection with a recent robbery of a grocery store bank window.

The car took off along Interstate 70 and exited eastbound on St. Charles Rock Road. Eventually, the pursuit ended on McDonnell Boulevard near Banshee Road, where the driver was collared.
