NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC/CNN) - This little bundle of energy isn't the lion he looks like.

Meet Charles the Monarch, a Labradoodle.

On Tuesday, police in Norfolk, Virginia said they got calls about a baby lion on the loose.

Officers even called the local zoo to make sure their big cats were all accounted for.

Daniel Painter owns Charles the Monarch, and says his pet's cut is to look like Old Dominion University's mascot.

Painter says this isn't first time his pooch has been mistaken for a lion in calls to police.
