Bel Ridge, MO (KSDK) - Fire in a vacant home is cause for a police investigation this morning in Bel Ridge.

Investigators and neighbors say the fire early Thursday in the 3900 block of Lada Avenue is the second vacant home to burn in less than a week.

Just last Friday a home next door to this morning's fire was heavily damaged.

This morning, firefighters arrived and found the structure engulfed in flames. A first alarm was sounded to battle the raging fire which destroyed the home.

No injuries reported in the fire and the house appears to be a total loss.
