UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (KSDK) - A handful of students at University City High School are getting a chance to witness history.

Twenty-six students won an essay contest and as a result are taking an all-expenses-paid trip to President Obama's inauguration in Washington D.C.

Senator Clarie McCaskill provided the tickets to the event, and other local businesses and community members are helping as well.

Students are also getting the chance to attend one of the many balls that will be held the evening of the inauguration.
