Jersey City, NJ (Sports Network) - Tommy Pereira finished with 17 points to lead the Rider Broncs over the Saint Peter's Peacocks, 66-54, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tilt at the Yanitelli Center.
For the Broncs (10-9, 2-5 MAAC), Anthony Myles added 14 points and Jonathon Thompson chipped in with 10 points.
Yvon Raymond led the Peacocks (6-11, 1-6) with 15 points, while Chris Burke finished with 11 points.
Rider shot 48 percent from the field in the first half, including 4-of-12 from 3-point range, as it took a 30-27 lead into the break. Saint Peter's made just 39.1 of their field goal attempts in the first half, it but did connect on 4-of-10 from beyond the arc.
In the second half, the Broncs heated up, knocking down 54.5 percent of their field goal tries, including 5-of-9 from 3-point distance. The Peacocks improved to 43.5 percent from the field after halftime, but missed all four of their 3-point attempts. The Peacocks led by two with 12:44 to play, but Rider responded with a 9-0 run to take the lead for good.
Rider dominated on the boards, outrebounding Saint Peter's, 35-20.
