ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - A noted labor economist, author and political commentator will speak at the annual observance of the Martin Luther King holiday at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Julianne Malveaux has served as president of the historically black college for women, Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She has been a commentator for several television and radio programs on major networks analyzing the issue of economics due to gender and race.
The event will start at 10 a.m. Monday, January 21 in the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center on UMSL's North Campus. The event is free and open to the public.
