WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. (KSDK) - Webster Groves police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man who robbed a local bank Friday afternoon.

According to Captain Stephen Spear, a spokesman for the Webster Groves Police Department, said the robbery occurred at 4:15 p.m. at the Commerce Bank in the 8000 block of Big Bend Boulevard.

The suspect, an African-American man in his 40s, approached a teller and produced a demand note. A weapon was implied but not displayed, Spear said. The suspect fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police described the suspect had a shaved head, fair complexion, and a beer belly. He was wearing a suede-colored jacket, pink collared shirtand light-colored pants.
